This album does not disappoint. It's not my favorite Flag album, but it certainly is good. Greg Ginn's guitar sounds a little different than on previous albums, and that's a good thing. There are very unique melodic changes in the songs. The album opener, Paralyzed, is a good example. My personal favorite song on the album is The Crazy Girl/5(39).

Apr 09,  · If you love this era of Black Flag I highly recommend that you 'SEEK' live bootlegs of the 'In My Head Tour' which put these songs to justice. It's well known that the band was always under financial strain and were constantly touring thus the album's don't always show Black Flag's true strength as an INTENSE live band/5().

Black Flag is an American hardcore punk band formed in in Hermosa Beach, California, United States, largely the brainchild of Greg Ginn, the guitarist, primary songwriter and sole continuous member through multiple personnel changes. Keith Morris was their original lead singer. He left the band suddenly in to form the well-known band, Circle Jerks.

Hot on the heels of the live record came Loose Nut and In My Head, which showed significant improvement over My War and Slip It In. Henry Rollins and Greg Ginn were exploring by-now standard lyrical themes: hate, paranoia, loneliness, anomie, and violence, but framing them around music that was demanding, powerful, and exciting. In My Head is the slightly better of the two, primarily because.

In My Head is the sixth studio album by American band Black Flag. It was released in on SST Records, and was their final studio album before their breakup in The CD reissue adds three of the four songs that later appeared on the I Can See You EP, replicating the original cassette release which came out concurrent to the LP.

Jan 29,  · "The Crazy Girl" strikes a nice balance between the avant-garde stuff and the driving punk stuff, and when it really picks up, it sounds like something that could've fit on My War. Early Black.
